I have been painting miniatures, on and off, for over 20 years. I have run a successful store on eBay for nearly 10 years, where I buy, paint and sell the miniatures I fancy painting worldwide - hopefully for a profit. If you wish to see my feedback or what I currently have in my store, then feel free to click on the link above. I offer what I call 'Gaming Standard' pieces, painted to a 'Basic', 'Good' or 'High' standard - that's quality, smooth, neatly painted models any gamer would be happy to stick on the table top. I do not offer more 'display' quality work.
I consider my style to be 'Imitative' - so if your minis have a studio paint job or scheme used in their advertisement, then I will do my best to imitate that for you to a level my abilities allow and that you wish for/can afford. This is mainly because that's how I learned to paint, before fancy videos on Youtube or through the extensive guides freely available on the internet today. I still prefer to paint this way as I enjoy the process of using my own mind (such as it is) to figure out how to get a similar result.
This said I am also flexible. So if you have a specific scheme, if you'd like me to use specific colours (even paints), or methods/guides, to help fit your commission into your army, then I am open to that too!
I have gaming and painting experience for the likes of Warhammer Fantasy Battle (RIP), Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40k, Blood Bowl, Warmahordes and Infinity - to name but a few. I try and keep up to date with new releases and my gaming/setting/historical knowledge is broad, though by no means extensive. I would love to paint some historical or board game miniatures too and I am open to paint models in any scale.
If you take a look through my Gallery you will see some general examples of my work to help indicate if I am, perhaps, the right painter for you. Please see Prices and the FAQ page for more details.
ON COMMUNICATION
I believe good communication is essential in anything - including commission painting! So I will always try and reply promptly to any query or question you may have. I will also keep you up to date with your commission (although in general if you hear nothing before the estimated deadline things are going well) and I will happily take photos as to my progress should you wish. I will honestly report to you any problems/difficulties I encounter along the way and work with you to resolve them (be it a mis-cast mini or issues with paint/varnish etc).
